Nikon NEXIV VM-1000 3D Video Measuring Instrument Allows Measurement of More Parts Without Loading or Unloading
April 24, 2001
MELVILLE, N.Y., April 24 -- Nikon's NEXIV VM-1000 3D video measuring instrument provides users with one of the largest travel ranges available. With a 1000 x 800 mm XY travel range, it allows measurement of more parts without loading or unloading. Plus, it can handle large parts such as circuit boards, flat panels, etching sheets for lead frames, LCDs and mask patterns with ease and accuracy.
With accuracy equal to or better than machines with smaller travel ranges, the VM-1000 also offers an exceptionally long 150 mm Z-axis stroke and bright diascopic illumination. With standard through-the-lens (TTL) laser autofocus, high speed, accurate, non-contact Z-axis (3D) measurements are also fast, accurate and repeatable.
In addition, all NEXIV products offer intelligent search functions to help keep fixturing costs low, and a multi-pattern search feature that automatically corrects for part-to-part variation along with deviations in expected edge or feature locations. The system incorporates the world's brightest and highest contrast optical components for distortion-free viewing.
